Lunchtime Burglar Hits Up Home on Bishop Road

The resident of a home on Bishop Road was gardening in the backyard this afternoon when the burglary occurred.

Belmont police are reporting yet another residential burglary, this one in the 2000 block of Bishop Road in the Plateau/Skymont neighborhood.

Police say that sometime between 12:15 and 12:45 p.m. Monday, a suspect(s) entered the home by forcing open a kitchen window next to the front door. The resident was at home at the time, but was gardening in the backyard and did not know of the burglar's entry into the home. Police believe the suspect(s) fled out the front door.

This burglary comes on the heels of a string of residential burglaries in Belmont over the past few days, including one Sunday on Kimmie Court and three in the Central neighborhood on Friday.
