Homeless Woman Linked to Belmont Break-in, Arrested

Police said this week a homeless woman has been arrested in connection with a residential burglary in Belmont last month-- the second arrest in the case.

Sandra Aparicio, 33, was arrested at about 3 p.m. Saturday for her alleged involvement in the Feb. 28 burglary of a home in the 1100 block of Irwin Street, Belmont police Capt. Patrick Halleran said.

Aparicio's arrest followed the arrest last Wednesday of Alvaro Alarcon Jr. in connection with the same burglary, according to Halleran.

Alarcon, Jr. had been found after he used a credit card stolen in the burglary, according to police.

Aparicio was booked into jail in Redwood City on suspicion of burglary, possession of stolen property, use of a stolen credit card, identity theft and conspiracy.
