Home Video Camera Shows Belmont Burglars in the Act

Belmont police are seeking the public's help in identifying burglary suspects who broke into a home last Friday.

A home video surveillance camera provided crucial evidence in a home burglary in Belmont last Friday, and Belmont police are hoping the public can help identify the suspects that were captured on video.

According to Capt. Pat Halleran of the Belmont Police Department, at about 2:55 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 9, three suspects burglarized a home in the 2700 block of Belmont Canyon Road. The home was equipped with a home security video system, and police were able to gather the following information from the video for their investigation:

  • Suspect Vehicle: Silver Nissan Pathfinder with DMV temp registration in lower right side of windshield. 
  • Suspect #1 (Driver): Black male adult, heavy set, bald. Wearing gray or black t-shirt, red sweatpants with white stripe on the side.
  • Suspect #2 (Right front passenger): Black male adult, black hat, dark hoodie sweatshirt, gray jeans, and black tennis shoes.
  • Suspect #3 (Right rear passenger): Light skinned black male or Hispanic male adult. Black hat with white dot on it, red jacket, blue jeans, white shoes.
