Small Grass Fire Burns Near Carlmont High

Update 2:46 p.m.: The fire is out. Students scrambled to take pictures of the small blaze (see attached photo).

Update 2:23 p.m.: The Belmont-San Carlos Fire Department is responding to reports of a grass fire in the area of Carlmont High School this afternoon.

The one-alarm grass fire was reported at 2:10 p.m. at 1400 Alameda de las Pulgas.

Belmont Patch is headed to the scene and will update the story with more details as they become available.
