Firefighters Extinguish Grass Fire Near Ralston On-Ramp to Hwy 101

The blaze was reported at about 9:15 p.m. Sunday.

Firefighters extinguished a grass fire near the southbound Ralston Avenue on-ramp to Highway 101 in Belmont on Sunday night.

The one-alarm blaze was reported at about 9:15 p.m., Belmont-San Carlos Firefighter/Paramedic Jeff Thorne said.

The fire department contained the flames to a quarter of an acre of grass, Thorne said.

No one was injured.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but Thorne said it did not appear to be suspicious.
