Cipriani Neighborhood Hit By Burglaries

Both homes were located in the 2200 block of Cipriani Boulevard.

Two homes in the Belmont's Cipriani neighborhood were burglarized over the past several weeks according to Capt. Pat Halleran of the Belmont Police Department.

The first burglary occurred on Tuesday, Dec. 17 between 8 a.m. and 5:25 p.m. in the 2200 block of Cipriani Boulevard. Halleran said the intruder(s) forcibly entered the house. There is currently no information on the  suspect(s). information. The victim is still compiling a list of missing items according to Halleran.

The second burglary occurred on Friday, Jan. 3 between 2:30 p.m. and 5 p.m., also in the 2200 block of Cipriani Boulevard. Halleran said no further details about the crime are available at this time.

A nearby neighbor on Cipriani Boulevard told Patch, "One of the houses is up a long driveway hidden from the street. They have a big German shepherd. The other house is very visible on the street, also with a dog."

"At this time we have no information connecting the two burglaries, other than they occurred in the same block," said Halleran.

Patch will update this story as information becomes available.
