A nearby neighbor on Cipriani Boulevard told Patch, "One of the houses is up a long driveway hidden from the street. They have a big German shepherd. The other house is very visible on the street, also with a dog."

"At this time we have no information connecting the two burglaries, other than they occurred in the same block," said Halleran.
