CHP Announces Location of Sobriety Checkpoint

A sobriety checkpoint will be set up from 8 p.m. to midnight Saturday in Redwood City

 

The Redwood City Area Office of the California Highway Patrol (CHP), will operate a sobriety checkpoint Saturday, April 28 to aggressively seek out motorists who choose to drive drunk.

The checkpoint will be operated from approximately 8:00 p.m. to midnight in Redwood City at El Camino Real and 5th Avenue.

According to CHP Officer Art Montiel, "It is the Department’s goal to use this enforcement tool to assist with the reduction of injury and fatal collisions that are caused by drunk drivers.  We are asking the public to designate a driver if they happen to allow alcohol to be part of their evening."
