Burlingame Man Found Guilty of Murder

Although found guilty, his sanity at the time of the crime has yet to be determined.

 

A jury found Burlingame man Teyseer Najdawi guilty of first-degree murder in a 2008 shooting on Tuesday.

Najdawi, 28, , 27-year-old Jack Chu, in the head 11 times in Millbrae following a night of drinking.

After allegedly shooting Chu, Najdawi placed him in the passenger’s seat of a car, left the body and vehicle in Burlingame and fled to Redding, Calif.

Prosecutors believe Najdawi threw his murder weapon into the Redding River, but the box the gun came in was found in Najdawi’s home.

Najdawi was also convicted of assault and attempted murder in connection with an attack on his jail cellmate.

He now awaits a Thursday hearing determining his sanity at the time of the crime.
