Burlingame High School Lock Down

BHS was briefly on lock down today due to a threatening e-mail.

 

went on lock down Friday afternoon after the school received a threatening e-mail.

The school was locked down shortly after 2 p.m. and police responded to the campus, according to Barbara Tufo, an administrative assistant with the San Mateo Union High School District.

Police searched the 25-acre campus and identified no threats to the school, students or staff. Once police finished their search, students were allowed to leave BHS, beginning at around 2:45 p.m.

Parents were instructed to pick up students at the northwest corner of the football field.

An automated call went out to parents notifying them of the incident, Tufo said. No one was injured.
