Belmont Police Blotter: Horse on the Loose, Water Bill Dispute

Friday, Feb. 3, 2012

7:32am  Vehicle Burglary  A male suspect with bushy hair and a white shirt broke into an older model Chevy Camaro on Old County Road and took off in the vehicle in an unknown direction.

10:00am  Citizen Assist  A man came into the police department lobby to report his ex-girlfriend had been texting him and threatening to harm him. He said he was driving down Ralston Avenue when he received the most current text message. 

11:00am  Parking Complaint  A dark blue Audi A6 with no license plates was parked on Adelaide Way. Police said the car would be moved later that day.

1:35pm  Suspicious Vehicle  Two men were reported to be looking into vehicles parked in the green zone on Lyall Way at Merry Moppet Lane. 

2:53pm  Suspicious Circumstances  The reporting party stated that at about 9:00pm the previous night, a man came to her door on Middlesex Road and rang the door bell. The man's car was left running in front of the residence and another person was in the vehicle. 

4:48pm  Mid-Peninsula Water Callout  A woman on Somerset Drive called to have Mid-Peninsula Water District call her back on her cell phone. She reported that her water was not on, even though she had paid her bill.

7:03pm   Reckless Driver Complaint  A silver Lexus was seen speeding and swerving across lanes on El Camino Real at Harbor Boulevard. 

Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012

7:15am  Medical Emergency  A Lifeline alarm was activated by a person on Tahoe Drive.

12:51pm and 1:16pm Any Civil Problem/Disturbance  A verbal argument occurred between roommates on Village Court.

4:03pm  Theft  A San Francisco man was arrested, cited and released for petty theft from a business on El Camino Real.

4:11pm  City Ordinance Violation  Several dogs were off-leash on St. James Road.

5:51pm  Medical Emergency  A 73-year-old man fell on Yosemite Drive.

6:13pm  Suspicious Vehicle  A dark colored Ford Mustang was parked on Arden Lane at Vine Street. The car was occupied by one person and had been parked there for the past three nights.

7:43pm  Disturbance  A possible domestic disturbance was reported on Belmont Avenue.

9:48pm  Disturbance  People were heard arguing with each other at a residence on Hallmark Drive.

Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012

12:23am  Noise Complaint  A loud party was reported on Valerga Drive.

10:54am  Medical Emergency  An elderly person appeared to be the victim of a stroke. Fire department medics handled the call.

1:17pm  Disturbance  A verbal argument between mother and daughter was reported on Broadway.

5:46pm  Animal Call  A loose horse was at the top of the hill on Marsten Avenue. The horse belonged to a man who boards horses there.

9:23pm  Reckless Driver Complaint  A vehicle going northbound on Old County Road near Ralston Avenue was driving recklessly. San Mateo police stopped the vehicle.
