Summer Concert Series

Get your groove on to some classic Rock & Roll ... for free! Father's Day is also the first day of Belmont's , and June 19th's concert features The Distractions. Each concert takes place on Sunday from 1 - 4 p.m. at Twin Pines Park.

The Godfather’s Burger Lounge

Does your dad like his burgers large? Well, features ½ pound burgers.

Godfather’s Burger Lounge has 12 different kind burgers on the menu. If Dad doesn’t eat beef, then he can make a substitution with a turkey, chicken breast, or veggie patty. There’s also a salmon burger.

There’s also a wide assortment of appetizers available.

Reservations are not necessary, but strongly encouraged. After all, do you really want Dad to have to wait to eat on his special day?

Vivace Ristorante

Perhaps your father is the type who prefers wine with his meal. Then the large selection of wine at makes the restaurant just the place to take him for a Father’s Day dinner.

International House of Pancakes

Whether you’re looking for breakfast combinations such as the T-bone steak & eggs (also comes with 3 pancakes) or plan to order off the seniors menu,has a wide selection of items to please any father.

BEYOND THE BORDERS OF BELMONT

San Mateo County Fair

The last day of the San Mateo County Fair is the place to take Dad to fill him with fair food, watch a concert performance on the main stage, catch a show on the community stage, see the exhibits, and enjoy one of the many thrill rides at the fairgrounds.

San Francisco Giants vs. Oakland Athletics

How fitting that the two Bay Area Major League Baseball teams will play each other on Father’s Day. Take Dad to the ball park. Stuff him full of hot dogs, peanuts, and ice cold beer, providing there’s a designated driver.  

The game starts at 1:05 p.m.

Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar

Fleming’s is holding a Father’s Day brunch from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The special brunch gives a choice of two different appetizers, and you can choose from five different entrées and several dessert options.

The cost for the brunch is $32.95 per guest.

But not only will Dad get brunch, he will also receive a $25 gift card to use for dining at Fleming’s at a later date.

The nearest Fleming’s location is in Palo Alto. Reservations are strongly recommended.

Half Moon Bay Brewing Company

Located in Half Moon Bay, the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company is offering Dad his very own Growler when he orders off the special Father’s Day menu.

The starter special for Father’s Day is a Dungeness crab cake salad. The entrée specials include smoked tri-tip, shellfish risotto, Kobe flat iron steak, and apple wood smoked salmon Caesar salad.

Quattro Restaurant and Bar

Located in the Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley at East Palo Alto, CA, Quattro will feature its Festa del Papa brunch from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The chef has created a seasonally inspired three-course feast for Dad.

The cost is $68 per person. For children under 12, the cost is the same as their age.   

CreoLa: A New Orleans Bistro

A Jazz brunch New Orleans style awaits those who come to this restaurant located in San Carlos.

The Father’s Day brunch is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dinner will be served from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Father’s Day.

Palo Alto World Music Day

There will be performances by more than 50 different music groups. Among the many music genres that will be represented are jazz, blues, classical, pop, rock, chorale, and Celtic.

Palo Alto World Music Day performances are from 3 – 7:30 p.m.
