Summertime Trailwork Continues at Water Dog Lake

Waterdog Volunteer Trailwork

Hello all trail users!

I truly appreciate all the work many of you have done on this .  Some have been out there many days, some just a few. All days are important. Lots of hands make light work they say.

Please come join us AGAIN.

We have the long awaited summer schedule!

Can you back to the trails?

Two days!  Thats all we ask.

Thats our new motto: We just need two days a year!  Fortunately there are a bunch of folks that like to come out pretty often (and yes those people need to keep coming please).  For the rest of you, if you can try for two days a year thats a lot of volunteers for us and you will feel so good about yourself  keeping the trails in good shape for lots of fun in the sun.

We made the last few months on the Lake Loop Trail and we are truly near the finish of the primary digging segment of the project.  A few more sessions and we will be in finish up mode.  Well that doesn't count building 3 bridges and an engineered switchback with a wooden rail but at least you will be able to walk or ride the whole trail. (and we may be able to call it "open" but not finished.)

This summer we are back to weekday evenings from 6PM to dusk (usually about 8ish).  These are mostly maintenance of all existing trails. Some of you who may prefer not to dig on the loop trail can come join us maintaining our existing trails.  We will meet at various locations depending on the trail we are working.  Every Two Weeks on Tuesdays so its easy to remember!

Details will be available on a Google Public Calendar at: Water Dog & Open Space Trailwork  Please feel free to search that and add the calendar to yours!

We will also post a schedule and give you updates on a regular basis. Look for details or email me if you plan to join us.
