Forget about Black Friday, the holiday shopping season starts this weekend at the Twin Pines Holiday Craft Faire.

One of Belmont’s most treasured traditions, the Twin Pines Holiday Craft Faire, will officially kick off the season of giving this weekend.

The Holiday Craft Faire, sponsored by the Belmont Parks and Recreation Department, will be held Saturday, Nov. 23 and Sunday, Nov. 24 from 10 a.m.to 4 p.m. With over 50 vendors, 2013 will be the biggest Craft Faire ever.

This year, the Craft Faire has expanded to the Manor House (in addition to the Twin Pines Senior & Community Center, the Lodge, and the Cottage!).

In addition, the Belmont History Room, located in the Manor House, will be open during the Craft Faire. Stop by and say hello to Belmont historian Denny Lawhern Saturday or Sunday from 1-4 p.m.

Along with the best makers of handmade goods from the Peninsula and beyond, this free-to-attend marketplace celebration of holiday craft culture will include great food, spirited entertainment and a guaranteed weekend of fun in one of Belmont’s most welcoming settings.

The Cottage Auxiliary will be selling delicious baked goods and all of the inventory of linens, china, pots and pans previously used at the monthly luncheons in the park.
