Three days ago they stole my vehicle just front of my house. Crime in Belmont is getting up. We are getting robbed from left and right and there are not enough Police Patrol Officers especially at nighttime in our beautiful Belmont.
They are stealing our cars like bread and butter and get a way with that! So far in 7 months 22 vehicle stolen already, average 3 vehicle a month! Half of them recovered. Tried to talk to our new Chief Dan DeSmidt but no luck, he was too busy to listen citizens of Belmont, so he appointed an officer rather. I do not feel safe anymore here, what should we expect next? We have kids at home and families, how are we going to feel safe?
In 7 Months there are : 49 Criminal Booking/47 Burglary/20 Vehicle Burglary/34 Theft from Vehicle/497 Suspicious Vehicle/422 Suspicious Person/84 Vandalism and go on and on! So I will like to ask the our new Chief what steps is he taking to protect our interests here in Belmont? But could not reach him. There are no cameras in key spots at all. We can not lose this battle against this bad guys! I am sure there is a way to lower this numbers if we act together.Be careful the people here in Belmont,do not be next victim like me.
