Summer Workshop Preview: Backyard Chicks and Hearing Loss

The Belmont Parks and Recreation Department has a diverse offering of classes and workshops this summer.

 

With summer on the horizon, and a wide variety of classes offered for Belmont residents of all ages and interests, Patch will be highlighting some of the upcoming offerings sent to us by coordinator Andrea De Lara.

Raising Backyard Chickens

Raising chickens can be a fun activity for the whole family, plus you get a bonus of fresh organic eggs and garden compost. This class will discuss the hen house, hen safety and security against predators, feeding and other topics. For ages 18+.

Hearing Loss & New Technologies

Hear Ye! Hear Ye! The is proud to offer another free upcoming workshop: Hearing Loss & New Technology. In this workshop you can learn about hearing loss, health topics related to hearing and the latest information on hearing aids. Stanford Audiologist Honey Gholami will discuss the current trends in the field of audiology. Anyone is welcome!
