Great photo! I went outside my house to see if I could see the Endeavor on the horizon, and heard a noise... I looked up & saw Endeavor & the escort jet flying over the Greek Church low & slow, right past my house -- heading toward Nasa/Mt. View. My heart is still thumping - no camera but I had a very close surprise view! I wish I knew they were going to fly over Belmont!

I heard it first - then ran out the front door and watched it head for the East Bay or, maybe, Mountain View. Eric, thanks for the great photo!

Judi, It was fun playing hooky for a few minutes to take them. I've uploaded them here if anyone wanted a bigger version. http://www.flickr.com/photos/belmontiantim/sets/72157631591116455/

You took these . Just incredible. I think Belmont got winked at. I won't forget this experience.

Thanks Tim... I'm gonna look. I just rec'd a copy of the picture taken by the City Manager from his office! Also awesome. It shows how low the Endeavor was flying over Belmont. I think this calls for a Belmont parade -- we have not had one since our 75th anniversary! Judi

So very sorry John.... I thought about going out & staging myself somewhere, but did not and got the huge surprise of seeing it fly over my house! A close Belmont photo taken from Belmont City Hall should be uploaded soon! I think Belmont should have an Endeavor fly-over photo exhibit & parade....

The shuttle flew right over Carlmont High School. I was thinking about asking to "go to the bathroom", but I was too late.. :( I still heard it though. We were very lucky today.

We went down to Radio Road on the bay to watch it, waited two hours, turned around and saw the darn thing fly over our house!!! LOL - at least we got to see it.

Me too. I drove to Foster City to see with kids early and did not see a thing. Very bummed, kids even more bummed. Fail.

The kids and staff at Central School all went out onto the playground and the parking lot and they flew right over us! The adults got great pictures and some of the teachers were streaming it live on their Smartboards so the kids could see the school from the air as they zipped back and forth from the classrooms to the playground. What an exciting and memorable moment for everyone at our school! We're all sure they saw us waving!
