Neighbors Complete New Garden in O'Donnell Park

4-H member Julien Levy planted trees as part of the club's Million Trees project.

On Sunday, Dec. 1, residents of Belmont's Homeview Neighborhood completed a community garden in O’Donnell Park.

"In conjunction with Belmont Park and Recreation and our neighborhood, the amazing youth of the 4H Club, led by Julien Levy,  planted eight fledgling fruit trees as a part of their Million Trees project. Thanks to newly-elected city councilman Eric Reed for his attendance, as well.

For our part, our neighborhood couldn’t have been happier with the amazing coordinated effort and the beautiful fruit trees planted.  We can wait to send our children up their branches to grab some fruit!" said Gina Latimerlo, president of Homeview Neighborhood Association.
