Get Off the Couch and Hit the Trail!

Trail building opportunities start this Saturday at Water Dog Lake. No experience needed.

Did you know that Belmont's amazing trail system is built and maintained by volunteers?

This weekend, trail work will be done on Water Dog Lake and in other locations as needed and volunteer organizer Kevin Sullivan invites Belmont residents out come out to help with some digging and filling.

Work will be done over the following weekends--all work begins at 9am

No experience is needed, but volunteers are asked to plan on working for about four hours, and bring:

  • Water in a Camelback or backpack (you will be carrying tools)
  • Long Pants and sturdy shoes or boots
  • Gloves
  • Layers for working - short sleeves with windbreaker or sweatshirt, breaks can get cold
  • A hearty snack
