A Good Hike Can Soothe the 'What Ifs' of a Game Gone Bad

Local trekker Tom Davids invites everyone to join him for two upcoming nature hikes.

Greetings Hikers:

Nothing like a couple of nature hike to sooth the "what ifs" of a game gone bad.  And so, join your friends on two beautiful hikes to nearby places and put your mind at ease.

Feb. 9 (Saturday) is our Challenge Hike to El Corte de Madera. an open space preserve with beautiful redwoods and rushing streams. Sounds like last months hike  and the habitat is much the same except that the canyons are deeper, the trees are larger, the streams faster. This is an 8 to 9 mile work-out which will take 4 to 5 hours and the hike is rated strenuous.  I haven't selected the trail route yet but I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Unfortunately, there is no rest room available so watch your liquid consumption

We will carpool from the Sam Trans Garage, leaving at 8am and returning about 3pm. If you drive direct, we will park at gate CM-2 which is located on the west side of Skyline Blvd, about 2 miles south of Kings Mountain Rd and a quarter mile south of Skagg's Point view area.

Feb. 13 (Wednesday) is our Pathfinder Hike on the Coast Trail starting at the Half Moon Beach State Park.  We will go either south to the Ritz Carlton Hotel or north to Moss Beach depending on the weather and trail conditions...muddy trails being the issue.

This hike is about 5 miles and is rated easy. There are restrooms along the way.

We will carpool from the Adult Community Center, leaving at 9am and returning by 1pm.

Please email Tom at tom@tomdavids.com if you plan to join either of these hikes or if you have any questions.
