Beginning on October 19 at 4pm, Gloria Dei will be hosting an event aimed to strengthen marriages. The course is entitled "Pre-Marriage Counseling for Post-Wedding Couples."
When couples want to get married, we go through a course designed to help them think through the in's and out's of what being a spouse will mean. How do you communicate? How do you work together? How do you manage your finances and other responsibilities? How do you deal with conflict? How do you forgive?
While these topics are wonderful (and in many cases, necessary) to talk about before the wedding, sometimes it's only after some experience that they are of the greatest benefit. The course being offered at Gloria Dei will explore these topics freshly with married couples to fine-tune the way their marriage operates and to focus themselves, again, on the love of God and his forgiveness. Like an oil change in car, such "preventative maintenance" on a marriage relationship will bear lasting results and help to avoid troubles coming in the future.
This course is offered free of charge with no obligations on the campus at Gloria Dei, located at 2600 Ralston Avenue in Belmont.
We will meet every other Saturday, beginning on October 19. The dates for the class will be October 19, November 2, and November 16.
