Celebrating the Joy of Christmas

This coming week allows for a lot of excitement and joy. Time with family, the reminders of love with people who are precious to us, and of course, rejoicing in our Savior's love.

At Gloria Dei, we'll have a few different services that you can join us in celebrating positive about the season, especially our God's unending love that would send his own Son to live in our place to rescue us from all that we have done wrong.

  • Children’s Christmas Service (December 22, 10:30am) – This service is presented by the children of Gloria Dei’s grade school and Sunday School, as they remind all of us of the good news that a Savior has been born to rescue us, news that we can ring out, sing out, and bring out to all!
  • Christmas Eve Service (December 24, 6:00pm) – A traditional service of Lessons and Carols, where we spend a quiet evening reflecting on the love of our God and praising him in song for all of his goodness to us.
  • Christmas Day Worship (December 25, 10:30am) – A different service than our Christmas Eve service, we will spend time in God’s Word giving thanks for this most precious and most amazing gift ever given.
  • New Years’ Eve Worship (December 31, 7:00pm) – We will reflect on the blessings and challenges of the past year, and give thanks to God for seeing us through it all. It is a great way to end one year, and to start a new year with a positive focus.
We hope you will join us for some or all of these services. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to try to answer them for you. Give me a call at (650) 593-3361 or email me at pastor@gdluth.org

Blessings on your Christmas celebrations!
