memory lane, back to an era when the flicker of the projector heralded the
sound of the birth of America’s great motion picture era. Classic movies
of the 30s, 40s, and 50s, including A Farewell to Arms, Strange Alibi, Fire
over Africa, and Miracle in the Rain are part of Jim’s vast collection. Preview
an example of a film from this era as Jim discusses the history of 16mm film,
its legacy and how and if they survive in this new era of digital media.
