Chanukah Celebration


Chanukah Party to Close Burlingame Street

Chabad of the North Peninsula’s annual Chanukah bash is set to feature fun and entertainment for the entire family in the center of Burlingame.

Hundreds are expected to join Chabad of the North Peninsula’s 12th annual Chanukah Menorah lighting on Monday, December 2nd at 6:00pm. The grand celebration will close off Park Road in Burlingame and feature  live music, family entertainment and traditional Chanukah delicacies. Admission is free and open to the entire community.

“We love coming to the festival every year,” says Gregory Shneyer . “it is one of the highlights of Chanukah, and it is a great way to enjoy the holiday with the kids.” Chabad says the idea is to share the universal message of Chanukah with the entire community, and afford everyone the opportunity to be apart of it.

that even the tiniest spark of light can outshine tremendous darkness. This was true for the Maccabees of old, and it is true for us today, on both an individual and communal level.”

Each year, the Burlingame Chanukah festival features Chanukah favorites like jelly donuts and potato latkas among other refreshments. There’s live music with Jonathan Bayer to get the crowd on their feet, and a renowned juggler Daniel Davinci to keep the kids entertained.

“Our goal is to make it fun and exciting for the entire family,” says Rabbi Moshe Weinbaum, Chabad’s program director. “Whether you are a toddler, teen or senior, everyone enjoys the Burlingame Chanukah party. IT’s a blast.”
