Carmina Burana Sing-Along

Masterworks Chorale and Schola Cantorum both celebrate their 50th Anniversaries with a rousing run-through of Carl Orff's lusty and lyrical Carmina Burana. Both choirs invite all Bay Area singers to join them Monday, August 5 at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts to celebrate their mutual anniversaries with the vibrant music of Orff. Vance George, renowned conductor of the San Francisco Symphony Chorus for many years, will lead the choir.  Singers can sing along to both the choruses and the solos, while listeners are free to sit among the singers and "read along" while being enveloped from all sides in choral harmony.  A limited number of scores will be available to lend to singers and listeners.

The Carmina Burana Sing is a part of the Schola Cantorum Summer Sings

series: http://www.scholacantorum.org/seasons/current/summer-sings  Tickets for the Carmina sing are $20 from the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts.
