Creative Process: “The many colors and textures of
glass make fusing so fascinating for me. Nothing can replace the excitement of
creating beautiful color combinations with glass. My creations, which range
from photo holders, jewelry, wine bottle platters and more are all original,
unique and one of a kind. Everything is made of glass pieces in multiple colors
and textures and the process of firing in the kiln fuses all of the pieces
together to become one, elegant creation.”

Mendy Marks

Studio: San Francisco

Medium: Anodized aluminum, sterling silver,
gold, copper and brass

Her Art: Jewelry

Creative Process: “My jewelry is influenced by the
multiple layers and the melding of colors evident in the landscape that
surrounds us. I recreate this in my work by layering a variety of metallic
shapes, colors and textures in my jewelry. Using anodized aluminum, sterling
silver, gold, copper, and brass in my San Francisco studio I fasten and solder
hand-cut shapes to create sensual, sculptural earrings, pins, and necklaces.
Color is everywhere in my world and influences my design esthetic, along with
architecture, Art Deco and an understated and clean contemporary look.”

Steven Andersen

Studio: Stockton, California

Medium: Wood

His Art: Outdoor furniture

Creative Process: “It is our goal to design and build
all of our products to last for many seasons. Only the best Western Red Cedar
is used in our products, all of which are assembled with waterproof glue and
most use stainless steel screws. From the beginning, our furniture is designed
taking into consideration function, style, ease of assembly, and strength. Our
goal is for every piece to add value to your life and home.”
