An Afternoon with Oliver Potzsch

Oliver Pötzsch
is a German writer and filmmaker. He lives in
Munich with his family.
In addition to his professional activities in radio and television, Pötzsch spent
some time delving into his family history, and he discovered that he descends
from the Kuisle, from the 16th to the 19th Century a famous dynasty of
executioners in Schongau. This inspired his best-selling series The Hangman’s Daughter.

The fourth installation of the Hangman’s
Daughter series is set in the monastery at Andechs, which has long been a
pilgrimage destination.  When the
hangman’s daughter, Magdalena, her doctor husband Simon, and their two small
children arrive there, they learn that the monks have far larger concerns than
saying Mass and receiving alms. It seems that once again, the hangman’s family
has fallen into a mysterious and dangerous adventure.

This event is sponsored by Books Inc. A book selling and signing will
follow the event.
