Velschow, Bhopale, Koo Win School Board Race

Amy Koo finished a close race, edging out Herb Neuman 1,805 to 1,784.

Charles "Chuck" Velschow will serve another four-year term on the Belmont-Redwood Shores School District board of trustees after being the top vote-getter among seven candidates for three seats in Tuesday's election.

Velschow will be joined by newcomers Suvarna Bholpale and Amy Koo.

Koo, a resident of Redwood Shores and mother of two narrowly won her race, defeating fourth-place finisher Herb Neuman by less than one percent.

All three newly elected school board members will serve a four year term.
