A Little Rain Won't Dampen Campaign Season

AYSO invited Belmont City Council candidates to set up tables at the Belmont Sports Complex on Saturday.

Saturday's rain may have fallen a bit early by Bay Area standards, but the on-and off-showers didn't keep AYSO kids off the fields or Belmont City Council candidates off the campaign trail.

At AYSO photo day, several council candidates took the opportunity to meet and greet members of the community at the Belmont Sports Complex.  Candidates Charles Stone, Warren Lieberman, Eric Reed and Michael Verdone took the youth soccer organization up on their offer to set up tables and distribute literature. A Gladwyn D'souza sign was posted nearby with a zip-lock bag full of campaign brochures.

From now through November 5, expect to see Belmont City Council candidates out and about meeting members of the community and making their pitch on why they are best suited to serve the city.

Thank you to Charles Stone for the photo that accompanies this article.

Did you meet the candidates at AYSO picture day today? What issues would you like to discuss with the candidates?
