UPDATE 11:12 a.m.: The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for San Mateo County, including Belmont, between 11:02 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

A severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado near Half Moon Bay, 10 miles west of Belmont, is moving northeast at 30 mph.
