Sunday Declared Spare the Air Day

Residents are urged to limit driving on Sunday.

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District has declared Sunday a Spare the Air Day.

Concentrations of ground-level ozone pollution are expected to be unhealthy on Sunday. In addition, hot temperatures and light winds will combine to likely produce poor air quality for the Bay Area.

Tips to help prevent smog:

- Carpool or vanpool with friends or co-workers
- Take public transportation
- Telecommute -- work from home instead of driving to work
- Link necessary trips and postpone errands if possible
