Belmont's 'Archaeologist' to Display Private Collection This Sunday

Visit the Belmont Historical Society this Sunday for some newly unearthed items that are certain to ring a bell to longtime residents.

Belmont historian Denny Lawhern invites everyone to visit the Belmont Historical Society in Twin Pines Park this Sunday for a peek at a special private collection of Belmont memorabilia.

In a posting on the "You Know You're From Belmont When..." Facebook page, Denny reports that on Sunday, "Lifelong resident and BHS (Belmont Historical Society) member Bill Metropulos will have a very special display of 'never seen before' historic Belmont items from his own private collection on display for the first time at our History Room .

Bill is an expert on what is below the ground in Belmont and has been involved many "digs" over the years. Come and enjoy."

The History Room is located in the rear of the Manor Building in Twin Pines Park. The hours of operation coincide with the Park Boosters Summer Concert Series. This Sunday, "Blue" will play from 1-4 p.m. in the Meadow.
