Nesbit PTA Hosts Family Bike Night Tonight

The event will feature bike tune-ups, student art auction, and even a food truck with a customized "bike night" menu.

What better way to spend a warm Friday evening than with friends and family members at a Nesbit Elementary School's first ever Family Fun Bike Night. The event will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. on the playground at Nesbit, 500 Biddulph Way.

Sponsored by the Nesbit PTA, Family Fun Bike Night will be hosted by teacher Christine Dewart and some of her fifth grade students, and is open to the entire community.

In addition to a family ride-along, the event will feature bike blended smoothies, "snail" races, bike tune-ups, and a recycled art and student-designed longboard auction. Whisk on Wheels food truck will also be on hand with a specially designed menu just for the event.

"Our hopes is to educate the community and students on recycling while incorporating fun activities that are earth friendly and educational," said PTA president Teresa Patel.

Patel encourages families throughout the district to attend.
