Meet Belmont Patch's First Bloggers

Claire Karoly, Carla Velasquez, Ed Mitchell, Stephanie Conrad, Drew and Christine Morgan, and George Burgess are the first Belmont Patch bloggers.

Stay tuned for a new capability coming to Patch.

We will soon launch a blogging platform, where local voices can talk directly to you in their own way, on their own timing, about their own topics. Ideally, you will talk back—to them and to one another.

Bloggers are different from columnists in that they aren't paid and they own the rights to their own content, even if it is published on Patch. Editors don't edit bloggers and bloggers don't take assignments from editors.

You may already know the first six Belmont Patch bloggers. They're your neighbors and friends.

George Burgess has joined the team to blog about local issues and events. Claire Karoly, a recent Notre Dame de Namur University graduate, will blog about both the university and other topics for young adults. Drew and Christine Morgan will keep residents up to date with real estate tidbits. Ed Mitchell will provide environmental insights about Belmont. Carla Velasquez will talk about parenting and family issues in Belmont. And Stephanie Conrad, a library assistant at the Belmont Library, will kick off the first of the blog posts from those who work at the local library.
