Editor Laura Dudnick to Transfer to San Mateo Patch

Dear Belmont Patch readers,

It is with mixed emotions I share with you that as of Monday, I will be moving just a bit north to become the editor of San Mateo Patch.

I say mixed emotions because I am both looking forward to this new opportunity, yet I will truly miss the wonderful people I've gotten to know here in Belmont, and I will miss covering this uniquely vibrant city. In the past year, I've learned more about Belmont as your local editor than I've ever known about my hometown.

This transition happened rather quickly, and I wish I could have told each of you in person about the change. I am looking forward to the challenge of taking on a new city, but you can bet a million Beli Deli sandwiches that I will miss covering Belmont.

I will miss each and every one of you, the readers and residents, who have taken the time to utilize Belmont Patch as a source of information. I’ve nurtured this site since its creation on October 6, and it’s because of you that it has grown so widely and become the passionate site you see today. Rest assured, the editor who takes over Belmont Patch permanently will love Belmont just as much as I do.

Thank you, readers, for introducing yourselves to me and to the site. Thank you for your story ideas, for your comments and for your support in this incredible journey of creating a one-stop shop for Belmont. Your news site is going to continue to blossom thanks to all of you!

With that, I’ll leave you with a “see ya around!” because I will surely bump into you at one of the many Belmont shops and restaurants I have grown to love. And if you want to have coffee anytime, I’m just around the corner.
