Bike Lanes to Be Considered Along Old County Road

The Metropolitan Transportation Commission will provide the majority of funding for the improvements to OCR.

On Tuesday, the Belmont City Council will consider a resolution approving a grant application for funding from the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) for the construction of new sidewalk, ADA access and bike lanes along Old County Road south of Ralston Avenue to the city limits. The item is included on the agenda's consent calendar

According to City Manager Greg Scoles in his weekly update, this project should provide improved pedestrian and bicycle access along this important transportation corridor. The project budget is $350,000 with $270,000 of that provided in grant funding.

The Belmont City Council will meet Tues., June 11 at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Belmont City Hall, One Twin Pines Way. To view the entire agenda, click here
