From the Mayor: How to Protest Recology's 22 Percent Rate Increase Request

If you would like to speak out in opposition of Recology's full 22 percent rate increase, I've listed three ways you can help.

Recology has requested that the Belmont City Council approve a 22 percent increase of our residential and commercial garbage collection rates.

Here's what YOU, as Belmont citizens and business owners, can do to oppose it:

If you are either a resident or business in Belmont currently paying Recology for your collection services, you have a right to provide input on the 22 percent rate increase proposal.

In particular, if you are a Belmont owner of a residence, a Belmont renter, or a Belmont business, who directly pays Recology for your collection services, you qualify to protest.
