Off the Grid Food Trucks Go Off the Clock One Hour Earlier

Belmont's food truck market will be open from 5-8 p.m. this winter, and will be closed over the Christmas/New Year holidays.

Neither rain, nor sleet, nor dark of night will keep the Off the Grid food trucks away from Belmont this winter--however the market will close an hour earlier--at 8:00 p.m. starting tonight.

The weekly gourmet food truck market that pulls into the Caltrain parking lot each Monday night starting at 5 p.m., will continue its eclectic mix of food-to-go dining options throughout the winter, but with a few modifications.

According to the City of Belmont's Community Development Director Carlos de Melo, the food trucks are closing up shop a bit earlier to accommodate the change in weather and daylight. And the market will take a short hiatus over the Christmas/New Year holiday, closing Dec. 23 and re-opening Monday, Jan. 6, 2014. The closures are in effect at all of the Off the Grid markets throughout the Bay Area.
