Many of you have probably recently done a double-take while driving along El Camino Real in Belmont and noticed the popular spot formerly known as has changed names to McGraw's Bar & Grill.
Actually, says owner Joan McGraw, the name is about the only thing has changed.
"My husband Eddy and I have owned the place for about the past 19 years," said McGraw.
"When we applied for a full liquor license, we figured it was a good time to change the name."
The McGraws bought the place back in the early 90s from the Ausiello family, and it's been run by the Scottish-born husband and wife team ever since.
The former Ausiello's was licensed only to sell beer and wine, whereas the new McGraw's now holds full liquor license.
In addition to a full bar, McGraw's offers a full menu of burgers, fish & chips and other casual fare. And of course the shuffleboard and billiards tables remain, as do the big screen TVs that are always tuned into the latest sporting events.
McGraw's is located at 864 El Camino Real in Belmont. For more information, call 650-595-9531.
