Visitors of may witness something besides stores and restaurants on Saturday -- the world's longest drum roll.
Local musician Chris Anthony will attempt to reclaim his Guinness World Record title for performing the world’s longest drum roll in an effort to raise money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
The Beat Rolls On 4 MS (Multiple Sclerosis) will host the record-breaking attempt.
Anthony set the longest drum roll record in March 2009, with a drum roll that lasted four hours and six minutes, while raising more than $15,000 for MS. His record was shattered later that year.
On Saturday, he will attempt to reclaim his record with an eight hour drum roll, that would also double his MS fundraising efforts.
The event will begin at 10 a.m. in the Nordstrom Court at Hillsdale Shopping Center.
