Belmont Chamber Introduces New Directory, Dining Guide
The Belmont Chamber of Commerce produced the directory, which will be mailed to Belmont residents in January.
Belmont residents and businesses can expect to find a copy of a new Belmont Directory and Community Guide in their mailboxes this week. The directory, and a companion dining guide and map, are published by the Belmont Chamber of Commerce.
Chamber president Mary Morrissey Parden debuted the guide Tuesday night at the Belmont City Council meeting.
Parden pointed out that the chamber made some decisions in the guide's creation process that sets it aside from those in other cities.
"I am pleased to tell you, this directory includes all brick and mortar businesses in Belmont," Parden in her comments to the council.
"Other chambers and municipalities choose to only recognize their members and advertisers. In our mind, we thought it important to serve the city on a higher level which represents the rich diversity of our Belmont business community," she added.
In addition to a listing of all Belmont businesses, the guide offers a listing of community events, descriptions of city departments, and an overview of Belmont's economic development projects.
