Belmont San Carlos Second Saturday Evening Program

Saturday, NOVEMBER 9, 2013 - Evening Program:  5:30 PM - “San Mateo Coastal Parks” - Guest Speaker:  Cecily Harris, Executive Director, Coastside State Parks Association

 

The Coastside State Parks Association is a nonprofit association that supports the 15 State parks along the San Mateo County Coast, in partnership with California State Parks.  Among the many programs and projects of the CSPA are funding for the Ano Nuevo Marine Education Center, the visitor center at Half Moon Bay State Beach, and funding for the over 300 State Park volunteer and docent programs along the San Mateo County coast.  For more  information, go to www.coastsidestateparks.org.

Cecily Harris has served on the Board of Directors of the MidPeninsula Regional Open Space District, and is an active member of the community, with over 30 years of nonprofit and public sector experience serving on committees, commissions, and boards. She served for nine years as a San Carlos Parks and Recreation Commissioner and was previously the Financial Services Manager for San Mateo County Parks, where she was responsible for alternative funding, legislation, donations, and special projects.  She is currently a consultant for nonprofit conservation organizations and public agencies.
