Teen Battle of the Bands Heats Up

All those years of playing in the garage may finally pay off!

Teen rockers have one week to get ready to audition for the City of Belmont's first ever "Battle of the Bands" competition.

The Belmont Parks and Recreation Department has teamed up with the Belmont Library for this inaugural event. Auditions will be held Thursday, May 23 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the library. (That's right, loud music WILL be allowed in the library!)

The selected bands will perform on Wednesday, May 29 at the Belmont Sports Complex for a chance to win prizes from Guitar Center, Best Buy and Hillsdale Mall. All acts are welcome.

For more information, contact Dolly Goyal at the Belmont Library.  Bands may pick up a registration form at the Belmont Library or the Belmont Parks and Recreation office in Twin Pines Park.
