Professional Musician and Carlmont High Grad to Perform in Belmont

Dana Leong and his hip-hop jazz band will perform at 7 p.m. on Friday at the Carlmont Performing Arts Center.

graduate turned professional musician Dana Leong will return to his old stomping ground on Friday to give a live performance with his hip-hop jazz band.

Leong graduated from Carlmont in 1998 and went on to study at the Manhattan School of Music on a cello and trombone double scholarship.

He's since worked with Kanye West and Lil' Kim in the studio as a hip-hop session musician, and played in stage bands with the likes of Barry White, Earth Wind and Fire, and Ray Charles.

Friday night's concert will begin at 7 p.m. at the Carlmont Performing Arts Center. Leong's hip-hop jazz band "Milk & Jade" will perform. Tickets cost $15 for adults, students/seniors/children $10. Tickets will be available both at the door and online at www.carlmontmusic.com.
