In addition to traditional summer sports offerings---sports, science, dance, arts and crafts--the is giving young directors a glimpse into the world of filmaking.
The camp, Filmaking from Script to Premier, will be held June 16-20 at the Foster City Recreation Center, 650 Shell Blvd. in Foster City. The camp will be taught by the Freshi Film Staff.
During the one-week camp, kids aged 8-12 will work in small groups as they brainstorm, storyboard, integrate simple special effects, sound effects and score a genre of film they choose. Campers will learn how to incorporate story into visuals, camera angles, film etiquette, as well as digital film tools. Their final film will premiere for friends and family on the last day of camp and will be posted on freshimedia.com or can be saved to a thumb drive at the final class.
