Spring Dance Performance @ San Mateo Performing Arts Center

Belmont's Professional Ballet School & Non-Profit: Young Artists Ballet Theatre will present a stunning variety of Contemporary, Jazz, and Classical Ballet Pieces on June 10th Fri., & 11th Sat. at 7:00pm at the San Mateo Performing Arts Center. The performance opens with Favorite Children's Rhymes featuring all levels of ballet.  "Kingdom of the Shades"  - an excerpt from La bayadere, the famous classical ballet by Petipa will feature advanced dancers Jennifer Stewart from Carlmont High School, Olivia Lindorfer from Notre Dame Belmont, & Grace Collery from Sequoia High School.  Contemporary works include Tanya Bello's "Architect Of The Mind".  Also featured is "Quarks", a neoclassical piece by Brete Martin.  The final act features Zoltan Peter's "Legacy" a dramatic work set to the electronic soundtrack of Tron Legacy, by Daft Punk. Tickets are available online at http://pbs2011.eventbrite.com/   or at Professional Ballet School 650-598-0796, or in person at the box office immediately preceding the performances.
