With her undergraduate and graduate degrees in dance, psychology, technique, and choreography, Coleen’s “performance stories” are psychologically driven, and she infuses the archetypes into all of her productions.

“The show AXIOM relates to our personal energy and how it becomes played out in everyday life.  We take a look at the path of the mystics (the seven mansions from Teresa of Avila, the seven chakras from Eastern tradition, and the dark night of the soul by John of the Cross), and offer a contemporary, fresh, artistic expression of how these concepts affect our self and our relationships,” says Coleen. “Axiom is a composite of all styles of dance with a strong script, but with no dialogue.  In the show we focus on certain universal movements affecting us all – pulse, our connection to the earth itself; flow, the interaction between man and woman and the earth and all beings; power, the dynamic force in our life; heart, our ability to surrender and allow change; and higher mind, the awareness and freedom to choose our inner path and purpose, and follow it.”
