NDNU Speakers Series: Wine Innovator Jean-Charles Boisset

Boisset, who is also the vice-president of Boisset, La Famille des Grand Vins, his family’s wine business, is the third speaker to appear in the Distinguished Speakers Series in the 2010-2011 academic year. He became involved with his family’s wine business as a child and eventually built a sales and marketing arm for the U.S. and Canada. Under his leadership, the company continues to be dedicated to innovative and sustainable practices, while
producing distinctive, fine wines. Boisset is active in a number of
environmental groups alongside the entire Boisset family, who are committed to promoting sustainability around the world. 

He was named to Decanter Magazine’s list of the Top 50 Power Brokers in the global wine industry in June 2007. In 2008, he received the Meininger International Wine Entrepreneur of the Year Award and was named “Innovator of the Year” by The Wine Enthusiast Magazine.
