Author Talk: Belo Miguel Cipriani

Writer Belo Miguel Cipriani will discuss his new book, "Blind: A Memoir," about losing his sight at age 24.

Cipriani is a Notre Dame de Namur university alumnus who went blind after a violent assault. The book describes the two years after the attack, as Cipriani tried various treatments to restore his vision. He eventually was forced to relearn basic tasks, like walking, reading and dressing himself.

Copies of "Blind: A Memoir" will be available for sale. The event is free but donations will be accepted for Guide Dogs for the Blind and the Trauma Recovery Center.
