An Evening with Authors Lawrence Block and Robert Silverberg

Acclaimed mystery writer Lawrence Block will appear with Science Fiction luminary Robert Silverberg. Block will be promoting his new mystery, A Drop of the Hard Stuff,  in which he brings his greatest character, Matther Scudder, back into action in his most personal case. Exploring themes of loss, nostalgia, and redemption, for Lawrence Block, A Drop of the Hard Stuff circles back to how it all began, reestablishing why the Matthew Scudder series is widely regarded as one of the pinnacles of American detective fiction.

Silverberg will be promoting his latest piece of science fiction, Times Three. In Times Three, Silverberg presents a trio of ingenious variations on one of science fiction's most durable themes: time travel. These three novels, all of them prime Silverberg, approach that subject from a dizzying variety of perspectives. The result is a remarkable display of ingenuity, erudition, and sheer narrative power.

There will be a wine and cheese reception at 6:30pm, and a book-selling and signing will follow the authors' presentation.
