Twin Pines Senior & Community Center Remodel Almost Complete

Improvements include new flooring, carpet, interior and exterior paint.

The refurbishing of the Twin Pines Senior & Community Center is nearly complete.

According to Belmont City Manager Greg Scoles' Weekly Update newsletter, the building's new tile floor is in place, the new carpet is down, the exterior and most of the interior painting is complete. Just the baseboards, some additional painting, and touchups are needed.

The Parks and Recreation Department will reopen the facility for use on Monday, Jan. 13, and a grand reopening celebration is planned for Friday, Jan. 31 at 1:30 p.m.

The project is entirely funded by a grant from the Community Development Block Grant Program administered by San Mateo County and a donation from the estate of William Pearce.

"The project is a tribute to the community that has been a part of 25 years of programs and activities in the Twin Pines Senior & Community Center," said Belmont City Manager Greg Scoles in his weekly newsletter.
